Winter Warmth

Hello, just dropping in to let you know what I’ve been up to lately – and the answer is…mainly sewing!

These are my core purse and brooch designs for this Winter. Nice and bright, don’t you think! I think more than ever, I want to surround myself with colour at this time of year, when the days are short and the skies are grey.

Some are already in my Folksy and Etsy shops and I will hopefully find a minute to add the rest next week. Time seems very scarce just now. Can I just say, that if there is something you’d like to buy here which isn’t in my shop yet, please just ask :-) ..either in the comments or filling out the ‘contact’ form. The same goes if you see anything on my other social media sites. Much as I would love to have everything listed in my shops I find it hard to keep up at this time of year.

My workroom was seeming very well populated for a few days last week before the gang below went off to pastures new. Some will be available from the Winter Warmth Exhibition, at the Park Gallery in Falkirk, which opens this Saturday and runs until 9th January. The rest are now installed at The Scottish Design Exchange, in Ocean Terminal.

Spent this morning updating my Events page with all the relevant info. Next on the agenda – organising for my stall at the Ladies Shopping and Pamper Night, this Friday at Dalkeith Rugby Club. I want to make a couple of cats. Fox and penguin brooches also need topped up…hopefully get it all done!

First one of these cats, with the pink face (above), was called Scruff and so when I made this one, I named her Scruffette. Hohoho…sometimes it’s hard to think of new names! You have no idea how much fun it was arranging all those little snippets of fabric on her belly!
