Pick Up A Penguin

Suddenly, I’m very busy, with an endless ‘to do’ list. This pretty much always happens in October…but takes me by surprise every year, without fail!

I hate mentioning the ‘C’ word so early but did you know Xmas is only 11 weeks away…?! I swear it comes around faster every time! It’s my busiest time of year so I have to be prepared.  My shops need to be fully stocked so there’s a great choice for people who like to buy their gifts online. Also, I’m planning work to make for a local Christmas fair, an exhibition I’ve been invited to submit work for and an exciting new selling venue I’m hoping to get involved in… I foresee a busy week ahead.

And before I go, some sewing to show you!

To match my recent penguin and bird brooches I’ve made these purses – new for Autumn / Winter 2015! You might know, I love to recycle and have used wool which used to be jumpers for the birdies and cut up lovely soft velvet and chenille curtains to make the penguins. My objective is to make accessories that are bright, cheerful and fun to wear but they must also responsibly produced and made as well made as I can manage! I’m very happy with these and I hope you like them too!peach coin purse
